The fabric is not even in bad condition, just a bit dirty. But, I would still love to reupholster it. Just have to find the right fabric. And the finish doesn't bother me either. At first, I thought I might paint it black or gold, but it's kind of nice to have a different wood tone in the mix. So, I'm still thinking on that as well. I actually found a similar chair at an estate sale recently, but it had a caned back and was much more expensive, so I passed.
Oh, and I got some "emerald" earrings at Target that make me happy . . .
My birthstone is emerald, and I love all the jewel tones for fall, so for $12.99 they're the perfect pick-me-up.
The weather here is gorgeous, so I'm excited to be out and about today. Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

um, LOVE.
Love the finish--don't change it! Might be nice reupholstered in a darker solid, something with a bit more contrast.
Love this find!

Great find! Proof that patience pays off! I like the gilted versions you showed in your previous rope furniture post, but I do like this finish as well!
Love the chair and the knot detail on the legs. Great earrings!
love the chair! i actually like it better than the estate one! score.
Love the chair. But even more- I love that Piper or Zoe make a cameo in almost every post. A cool common thread ;-)
That chair is awesome!!! All it takes is finding a good treasure to break a rut for at least a couple weeks;-)
Ohhhhh, it's ALL kinds of pretty. I love it. Nothing like a great treasure to get anyone out of a rut.
great legs!
I'm so glad you are out of your rut. Love the earrings and the chair.
Girl you can find the stuff!
I know a great chair always does it for me. It's a beauty! By the way, your dog is totally checking out the new chair!

Let your finds be your inspiration....Perhaps rather than being "on the search" for specific items (yours and clients) - maybe you just need to start amassing all the cool things you come across. Then, people like me can use you as a source for items.
Just a thought...

Ah, good things come to those who wait!
What a great find...love the rope design!!
Just stop already. I was just looking at one of these at an estate sale this morning. What a sexy beast. I love that knotted detail at the bottom of the legs. Another fabulous find. I'm giddy just imagining the fabric possibilities! The marbled malachite green in Susie's post would be pretty amazing. Although I have a gorgeous old Suzani that hasn't yet made it to MiNTY and would make for a beautiful juxtaposition.
Oh, btw, I love the wood as is!
Love this chair! Ditto to all that Nelya said.
It goes without saying that I LOVE the chair, and I'm so checking for those earrings next time I'm at Target. (probably tomorrow!)
