Contemplating

I've run across a couple of things on Craigslist and eBay that I've got my eye on. Here's the Craig find:
I have long coveted the Eames Management chair. Brand new these chairs top $1K. The guy on Craiglist is selling his vintage one for $125. I would have to go check it out, but supposedly it's the real deal and not a knock-off. Of course, it's a turquoise/teal fabric and not the black leather I'd envisioned . . .

Maybe I've just been watching too much Mad Men? Who else is so sad that Sunday is the season finale?!!
A pensive Don Draper in his Eames Management Chair thinking,
"Why did Kathy have to marry that Matt guy and ruin my life?"

The other find? Call me crazy, but I really like this old brass door knocker on eBay.
I'm really wanting to paint my front door Martha Stewart's Wrought Iron, which is a very dark gray-blue-black, and install a unique brass door knocker. This hand is a little creepy, a little Victorian (very not me), but it speaks to me on some level. The auction is up in about an hour. I'll let you know what happens.

Lastly, this is not on eBay or Craigslist, but Kayce Hughes is giving away one of her fabulous wooden bead necklaces on her blog. Just leave a comment for a chance to win the giveaway!
Happy Monday!

Update: I won the door knocker on eBay! Now, I just need to paint my front door. My father-in-law, also known as Mr. Fix-It, is coming to visit this weekend. Hmmm.

okay--what color are you painting the door?! Love that vintage chair. What a deal? I haven't seen one episode yet. Chris and I are going to rent it and watch from the beginning.
