Craig is Looking Good

Sorry, I was planning to post this on Thursday before I went out of town this weekend but Blogger had other ideas. During one of my recent Craigslist trolling sessions, I found some interesting pieces. First up, this Brutalist/Cubist-style mid-century dresser/credenza . . .
It looks to be a twin of Nelya's (of Head Over Heels) that Naomi (of Design Manifest) was lusting after . . .
I alerted Naomi to its presence, but alas it's too big for her space and she can't truck down to Tennessee to get it anyway. So, if anyone out there is looking for a cool piece, it's still available. A slight hitch - they're only selling it as a set (with a bed, highboy and bedside tables). Why people refuse to sell things separately is beyond me. Here is one of the bedside tables . . .
And speaking of bedside tables, I also spotted a pair of these up for sale . . .
which bear a striking resemblance to these on 1st Dibs . . .
And while we're on an Asian kick, I thought this little side table/cabinet was pretty cute . . .
I also saw some great mid-century modern chairs . . .

and barstools . . .
Lastly, some cool rugs.
Love the colors in this kilim rug. Where could I put this??
I usually see these in red, so cream is a nice change.

And last but not least, this handmade Greek rug. Just loved the colors . . .
So, have you found any great Craigslist goodies lately?

The sheer awesomeness of Craigslist down your way simply amazes me. Sadly, I haven't been buying anything from CL lately, but I have been selling...! Also a very good thing.

Ditto to everything Ashley said. Further evidence I must head down there to shop.

Those burl nightstands are particularly fab. I'm a little disgusted that the person in the craig ad paired them with pink plaid. LOL!

How much are those mid-century chairs???? Indeed good stuff at the moment. Those nightstand are great and they are the 1stdibs ones.

That dresser is an exact twin! WOW! I am with you. WHY do you have to sell everything all together? I just ran into this yesterday trying to buy some used tap shoes for LB's recital. She had 2 pr. One a size 12 and another a size 1. Well...she can only wear the larger pair so WHY do I want both pairs?!?

I love that last rug. I can see that making a very fun space.

Oh, and those mid century chairs are similar to the dining chairs my parents had except theirs have tufted button backs. I plan to bring home their set soon. Your CL rocks!

Wow, that does look like the sibling to my credenza/dresser!

I love all of your picks, I might need to visit Nashville in the very near future.

Craig has been a bit sickly here in Chatt lately. That doesn't keep me from looking almost daily, though....

YOUR CRAIGSLIST ROCKS!!! Remember the brutalist pieces Hooper and I painted and de-valued by about $1,000 bucks! That was a fun discovery! Anyway LOVE all your finds... If only I had a big truck and a day to come your way...hmmm.... -Ann

Found you through Bri's blog- , those Craiglist finds are incredible.I would just have the " Naomi" credenza shipped over with the lot, and then sold the rest off separately- it's such a gorgeous piece.
I must go and see if Criagslist is any good this side of the worls, I usually get my furniture out of skips ( dumpsters for you guys ) hahaha!! Or from friends who chuck things away.So zero cost!!!
