Excuse the glare on the glass. |
I'm really liking how the greens and pinks in the paper work with my grandmother's pottery lamp and my estate sale brass wire tree . . .
Just a reminder, this is what the bamboo cabinet looked like before with my Peyton Place portrait (doesn't she resemble one of its characters?) above it . . .
My husband had tired of the portrait so she's waiting in the wings for her next location in the house. For now, she's hanging out in the tornado room where she might stay (she seems to like things that are dark and mysterious).
Sometimes it's nice to mix things up a bit just for a change. Have you made any changes around your house?

Kathy, I love your framed marbled paper and it looks great over your bamboo cabinet! I just pinned it!
Lurve it, especially how it highlights your grandmother's beautiful lamp. And something about Peyton Place lady screams stoicism, so I'm sure she'd be fine in the basement and wouldn't complain at all about the move.
Clever you. I love the framed marbled paper. It adds so much to the space. I am impressed that you were able to do that with children under foot. No small feat. (no pun intended)
Have a great weekend.

I LOVE the framed marble paper!! I saw it being sold in a store here, and then found the paper on a website. Needless to say, I saved the link so I can do just what you've done next time I need art. It looks great. Although, I love a good portriat too!
xo,
Katherine

I have GOT to get some marbled paper! The colors in your vignette are gorgeous and work perfectly together. I'm sure your lady will love the basement. I agree, she looks like she would be happy there! :)
